Our Past

December 17, 1967 - First worship service of what was then called Five Points Baptist Mission. The group was made up of 13 families.

December 24, 1967 - First worship service was held in a store front building on the corner of Bartlett Rd. & Summer Ave.

April 1968 - God opened up an opportunity for the church to purchase the 5.5 acres we are located on today.

June 9, 1968 - Trafalgar Village Baptist Church was constituted.

April 1969 - First services were held in the existing sanctuary, which was built by the men of the church.

April 1981 - The Family Life Center was completed and dedicated.

November 1992 - Trafalgar Village calls Rick Panis to be the part-time Youth Pastor.

April 2002 - Bro. Rick Panis is called as the Pastor of Trafalgar Village.

Fall 2003 - Dr. Bob Matthews is called to serve at Trafalgar Village in part-time role. The church would later call hin to serve as full-time Associate Pastor.

September 2003 - We Launched our Wednesday Night Celebration Services and our Sunday Night Life Groups.

Spring 2005 - The Children’s Sunday School Department was moved into shared space with the Day Care to accommodate growth in Adult Sunday School Department.

Easter Sunday, 2005 - To create more space for the people God was sending our way, we began our 8:15am Sunday worship service.

August 2007 - Trafalgar Village was recognized by The Tennessee Baptist Convention as one of the top 25 fastest growing Sunday Schools of intermediate-sized churches based on growth in attendance and baptisms from 2004-2006.

August 200 - Trafalgar Village was recognized by The Tennessee Baptist Convention as one of the top 25 fastest growing Sunday Schools of intermediate-sized churches based on growth in attendance and baptisms from 2007.

September 12, 2007 - The church voted to purchase 4 acres adjacent to our land and to move forward with architectural work on Phase I of the renovation of the Family Life Center.
